If you are a “gleek” like I am and tuned in to the season finale of Glee this past December, then you remember the last scene when the Glee club performed the song We Are Young. Just as quickly as the episode ended, you went and searched who the song was by. Or, perhaps you are an indie music lover and have known about the band fun. since way back, when they came out with their first album Aim and Ignite.
The band from New York (Nate Ruess, Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff) has been around since 2008; they recently signed with Fueled By Ramen (home to Cobra Starship, Sublime By Rome, Gym Class Heroes, among others) and will be releasing their sophomore album Some Nights on February 21st, 2012.
There have been two songs from the new album recently released and currently getting hits on Youtube; We Are Young, which features Janelle Monáe, and Carry On. The guys from fun. will be promoting the release of Some Nights and lucky for all of you, they will make their way into the Bay Area not once but twice! fun. will perform at The Independent on March 28th and at Bottom of the Hill on March 29th, tickets are on sale now, so hurry and buy them so you do not miss out on checking them out live.
